Job Vacancy: Visiting Medical Officer (Part-Time Resident Doctor)
Job Introduction
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Visiting Medical Officers (Part-Time Resident Doctors) to join our team at Jockey Club Home For Hospice (JCHH). In this role, you will provide regular patient consultation and high-quality palliative care services to support patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families, delivering professional, respectful and heartfelt medical care in a hospice setting.
Position Details
Position Title: Visiting Medical Officer / Part-Time Resident Doctor
Work Location: Jockey Club Home For Hospice (JCHH)
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide ad-hoc medical consultations for in-house patients as required
- Offer timely on-call medical support and respond to urgent patient needs
- Deliver specialist palliative care services to relieve physical and emotional distress
- Manage patient symptoms effectively to improve quality of life
- Provide professional guidance and counselling on Advance Care Planning (ACP)
- Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date medical records in line with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to deliver holistic patient care
Job Requirements
- Must hold a valid medical registration in Hong Kong, in compliance with local medical regulatory requirements
- Experience in palliative care, hospice care or related fields is highly preferable
- Compassionate, patient-centred mindset with excellent communication skills
- Able to work independently and handle clinical emergencies calmly and professionally
Employment Terms
- Service Commitment: Minimum 2 working hours per shift / section
- Remuneration: Competitive compensation package, paid monthly or weekly as mutually agreed

Registered Nurse (In-patient & Home Care)
Duties (In-Patient):
- Plan, deliver and evaluate the individualized care program to patients and families across in-patient;
- To collaborate with other health care teams to promote high quality services;
- Assist in the development of professional nursing standards, care protocol and clinical pathways;
- Supervise daily works of Enrolled Nurse, Clinical Services Assistant, and Patient Care Assistant;
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisors
Duties (Home Care):
- Plan, deliver and evaluate the individualized care program to patients and families across in-patient and home setting;
- Able to perform nurse consultation and handle patient’s and family’s needs independently.
- To collaborate with other health care teams to promote high quality services;
- Assist in the development of professional nursing standards, care protocol and clinical pathways;
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisors
Entry Requirements:
- A valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong
- Ability to plan, implement, deliver and evaluate an individualized care plan to patients and their families
- Relevant nursing experience in hospice / palliative care is preferable
- Candidate with specialty training in palliative care is preferable
- Competent in MS office
- Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
- Shift duty is required

職責:
- 協助護士執行護理計劃
- 依從護士指導為院友提供個人照顧、量度、記錄及報告血壓、脈搏、體溫、排泄情況和情緒變化
- 當有意外或緊急事故時,向當值護士報告
- 在護士督導下,使用簡單醫療儀器及消毒用具
- 負責其他由上級指派的工作
入職要求
- 持有認可起居照顧員證書
- 有護理員工作經驗優先
- 有責任感,願意關懷及照顧臨終病人
- 需輪班及值夜
