Support our Urgent Appeal

The recent coronavirus resurgence has severely affected every level of our community.  For many grassroots families, the struggle to cope with the epidemic has only intensified. In recent weeks, the Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care (SPHC) received many enquiries from family members seeking admission to the Jockey Club Home for Hospice for a loved one in need of 24-hour hospice care. At the same time, many of these families are under enormous financial pressure and are worried they cannot afford such care.

In response to the latest Government policy on the recent resurgence of COVID-19 cases, our hospital (JCHH) has taken the following measures to protect the health of our patients and visitors.


Event Postponed to March 2021 - 28th Annual Hike for Hospice 2020

While the COVID-19 situation is showing signs of improvement in Hong Kong, the prospect of the government relaxing regulations on social distancing measures concerning large group gatherings remains uncertain. Given the preparation our Hike for Hospice participants need to train and raise funds, we have made the sad but necessary decision to once again postpone the event - originally scheduled on October 4th 2020 - to March 2021. We will keep you posted as soon as the exact date and details are confirmed.


3rd volume of “At Ease with Life and Death” Available for Free

With the support of Master Changlin and Another Mountain Man (Stanley Wong), the third volume of “At Ease with Life and Death” was launched on 18 June 2017 and is now available to the public free of charge.
